Muslim Women’s Council condemns in the strongest terms, the murder of Alan Henning

Muslim Women’s Council condemns in the strongest terms, the murder of Alan Henning

Statement from Bana Gora, Chief Executive of Muslim Women’s Council

The brutal and despicable murder of aid worker, Alan Henning is condemned by Muslims in Bradford and around the world. The fact that it has been committed on the holiest of days for Muslims, The Hajj, on the eve of Eid Al Adha shows the clear disregard and contempt that the perpetrators have for Islam. These barbarians have hijacked a religion of peace and do not represent Muslims. They are devoid of humanity and should be subjected to the strongest possible action. Alan Henning was carrying out humanitarian aid work in the region and should have been treated accordingly. Our condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
