Islamophobia Awareness Month 2026: Don’t Let It Slide

Islamophobia Awareness Month 2026: Don’t Let It Slide

November marks Islamophobia Awareness Month across Britain, providing an important opportunity to challenge anti-Muslim hatred, discrimination and prejudice while recognising the valuable contributions Muslims make to our communities.

This year’s theme, “Don’t Let It Slide”, reminds us that prejudice must never be ignored, excused or allowed to become normalised.

Islamophobia affects Muslims in workplaces, schools, public spaces and online. Muslim women may face particular challenges because their faith and identity are often more visible.

At Muslim Women’s Council, we believe everyone deserves to feel safe, respected and valued. Throughout November, we encourage our communities to speak out against discrimination, challenge harmful stereotypes, support those affected and stand together against Islamophobia.

If you experience or witness anti-Muslim hatred, report it to the British Muslim Trust and find information about available support:

Recognise it. Challenge it. Don’t let it slide.
