The Muslim Women’s Council has launched the Curry Circle Food Bank, delivered in partnership with Nourish & Hope, to support vulnerable individuals and families across Bradford.
This new initiative builds on the long-standing Curry Circle hot meals programme, which has already provided over 100,000 hot meals since its inception and currently serves more than 200 meals every week. The addition of the Food Bank means that, alongside freshly prepared hot meals, families will also be able to access essential food parcels through the weekly Curry Circle sessions at Manningham Library, held every Thursday from 4:00pm to 5:30pm.
Bana Gora, CEO of the Muslim Women’s Council, said:
“The Curry Circle has always been about more than just food – it’s about dignity, community, and hope. By launching the Curry Circle Food Bank in partnership with Nourish & Hope, we are able to expand our support to meet the growing needs of local families.”
The Muslim Women’s Council expressed its gratitude to partners, donors, and volunteers whose contributions continue to make the service possible, emphasising the importance of solidarity and community-led action in addressing food insecurity.
