Muslim Women’s Council (MWC) are delighted to announce our partnership with Center for Education & Research (CEI) Nahla.
Nahla is a non-government, non-profit organisation founded in 2000 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Nahla implements projects and activities at the local level, in the field of adult education and social research, with a special focus on empowering women of all ages through education, networking, counselling and business support, faith and spirituality, health promotion and sports and recreation.
The aim of this collaboration is to jointly promote women’s education, empowerment, professional development and faith-based community engagement, providing leadership opportunities for Muslim women in Europe, the Balkans, Turkey and beyond.
Mrs. Sehija Dedović, President of CEI Nahla said, “The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between CEI Nahla and Muslim Women’s Council (UK) marks the beginning of a promising partnership. By joining forces in education, empowerment, leadership development, and youth engagement, we are building bridges across borders and nurturing hope that empowers women and uplifts communities”.
Dr Shuruq Naguib, Chair of MWC said: “We are overjoyed to announce that MWC and Nahla have signed an MOU, becoming partner/sister organizations. This partnership is built on our common vision to serve women within our own contexts and across the world by strengthening Islamic knowledge, expanding access to education, and facilitating empowerment. Together, we bring diverse skills, shared values, and a deep commitment to collaboration. We look forward to exchanging knowledge and expertise; expanding our reach to women internationally; and enriching Islamic education in Muslim communities everywhere. May this be the beginning of a great journey in service 'khidma' inshaAllah!”
