Daughters of Eve Conference 2025: Exploring Mental Health & Wellbeing from an Islamic Perspective

The Daughters of Eve Conference 2025, hosted by the Muslim Women’s Council, took place on Friday, 17th October 2025 at the prestigious Heaton Mount in Bradford. The day-long conference brought together over 200 women from across the UK for an inspiring and thought-provoking exploration of “Mental Health & Wellbeing: An Islamic Perspective.”

The event featured an impressive line-up of distinguished speakers, including:

• Dr Hany El-Banna OBE, Co- Founder of Islamic Relief Worldwide

• Selina Ullah, Trust Chair of Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

• Zara Mohammed, Former Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain

• Ustadha Nagebah Hayel, Dar Al Zahra UK

Through insightful talks, interactive discussions, and personal reflections, the speakers addressed the importance of mental health awareness, self-care, and community support within an Islamic framework.

A highlight of the day was the debut performance of the Muslim Women’s Council Nasheed Group – Sounds for the Soul, whose uplifting vocals and harmonies captivated the audience and set a positive, reflective tone for the day.

The conference concluded with an evening of celebration titled “Glitz & Glam”. The evening demonstrated faith, fun, and sisterhood, marking a joyful end to an enriching day.
