On Saturday 11th August a group of Curry Circle volunteers and sponsors took part in a sponsored walk in order to raise money for the Curry Circle, an initiative that provides a hot two-course meal for the vulnerable and less fortunate people in our society.
Since its launch in December 2013 the Curry Circle has already provided over 25,000 meals to some of Bradford’s most vulnerable individuals. We get support on surplus food from Tesco PLC, Lidl, Yaadgaar Bakeries, and Regal Foods.
A first hiker, Sanna Hussain, said “I loved every minute of the Ingleton Falls Charity Walk. It was a divine day, the weather was beautiful and it was great to meet such a lovely group of people and raise money for a much needed cause.”
Parvaze Ghani, who led the hike, said "What an amazing day with over 30 avid trekkers, from all backgrounds and ages, eager to take on the challenge of walking Ingleton Falls for the Curry Circle initiative. Set in the heart of the Pennines, this amazing landmark offered a treasure of visual delights yet you forget the physical demands on the body this four mile walk has when you’re fed with natural beauty all around. Overall a great day out, fulfilled a purpose and met some amazing people. Roll on 2019; we’ll definitely have to do this one again.”
